Mushroom needs a home!

Mushroom is a beautiful tuxedo tortie who arrived at OAS in March as a stray. After a stressful 5 months in the shelter, Mushroom lucked out when a foster home offered to take her in. Mushroom is still looking for her forever home and would love to find one soon! She needs to be an only pet and is about 5 years old.

Mushroom

Here is what Mushroom’s foster mom has to say about her:

“I would call Mushroom a grownup cat for a grownup home. She’s got an independent streak a mile long, like a lot of torties. She’s also a gorgeous cat–I love the little tuxedo tuft of white on her chest. She’s not one for being picked up or crowded (she seems to know where she wants to go all on her own, thank you), but Mushroom very much enjoys napping and hanging out next to me on the bed and spends most nights sleeping at my feet. She’s very sweet and affectionate and wants nothing more than to have you scratch under her chin and pet behind her ears. She’s very excited to see me when I get home and spends a good 15 minutes rubbing against my leg and demanding some well-deserved attention. She’s also very well behaved–litterbox trained and not overly vocal. I think she’d be a great cat for a kids-free (or older kids at least) household.”

Since Mushroom is not at the shelter please email oasassistance@gmail.com to meet her!
