Oakland Animal Services has been investigating for several years a case of a woman, La Preda Thomas, suspected of torturing cats. In October 2009, OAS worked with the Crimes Investigation Divison to arrest La Preda Thomas. She was charged with felony animal abuse and has been in jail since October. La Preda Thomas has now pled guilty to all counts as charged. She will be on for sentencing on 3/30/10 in Department 11 at 8:31am.
