Hi! My name is Tacoma, but I respond to Puppy, since that's what my foster calls me. I might be a bigger puppy now but I’m a small young boy who’s had a rough background but now learning to trust people.
I am super dog friendly – big and small. I love to run around and chase after other dogs, it's super fun to play. I'm gentle with smaller dogs, too.
I'm a little timid meeting new people, but I eventually do warm up to you. Cheese and other tasty treats help me get comfortable with new visitors, and I'm learning to be more brave.
Currently, my foster mom has me set up in a crate that she leaves open all the time. This allows me to feel safe inside the house by giving me my own space. For the most part, I know that I’m not supposed to pee and poop inside but sometimes I get a little scared or excited and it just happens. I’m given 24 hour access to a dog door and sure do I know how to use it! I like to check out with other big dogs are doing but I really do enjoy my own space and observing from afar. Sometimes the snuggles on the couch look awesome though, and I'll come join.
Please understand that I’ve had a very rough life but I am learning that not all people are bad. I just need a safe and loving home to understand that it will take me some time. Have I mentioned I’m cute as a button?
