Whether it's a leisurely stroll through nature or a cozy cuddle session, she thrives in calm surroundings that allow her to unfold at her own pace.
Nessie has already impressed during her time in foster care. She's polite, sweet, and a natural on the leash. Car rides are a breeze, and she takes baths like a champ. She snoozes on the sofa and loves sleeping in her dog bed next to the humans. She loves toys and enjoys her chew toys! She's currently in a home near a busy street and hasn't been bothered by the hustle and bustle. Her ability to adapt is remarkable, and she forms deep connections with her foster siblings.
Her eagerness to learn shines through in her training progress. Nessie eagerly responds to commands like "sit," "paw," "touch," "bed," and "go potty." The fosters have been working with her crate training and she has done well left home alone for 4-5 hours. With treats as motivation and a heart full of potential, she's a fast learner who's sure to impress.
Around other dogs, Nessie has shown some shyness, possibly due to her limited exposure. However, with slow introductions and appropriately matched dog friends, her confidence has been growing! Whether as a solo dog or with the right companion, she's ready to share her life and love. In foster, she's been very playful with the resident dog and adores him! She would thrive with another easy-going playful dog in the home.
Fosters have told us that overall, she's incredibly sweet and gentle with people, intelligent and enthusiastic with the resident dog in the home!
