Meet Lyla, a tiny fearful chihuahua in an extra-large brindle package. In fact, if Lyla could fit, she would consider herself right at home as a lapdog! Lyla is a great big, beautiful Cane Corso/Mastiff mix and while she might look intimidating to some due to her size, she is soft-hearted and timid. But once she comes out of her shell, she loves nothing more than a belly rub when she flops over at your feet coyly.
Lyla is gentle and independent around other dogs and would do well in a home with similarly gentle and respectful dogs, or as a solo dog. She lives with a young child in her current foster home and has been calm and appropriate. The one thing that Lyla doesn't like is leashes and will pancake on the floor when she feels any pressure from the leash. She would benefit from training that makes positive associations with leashes, as well as experiences that help to increase her confidence.
Lyla's world in her foster home is filled with belly rubs and gentle words, but she yearns for a place she can call her own. A forever home where she can love and be loved. Adopting Lyla means welcoming a very large bundle of joy that will fill your life with warmth and affection. Her love is pure, her spirit is gentle, and her loyalty is unwavering. Will you be the one to give her the home she dreams of?
