BonBon

Like her namesake, BonBon is as sweet as they come. She is a short-legged 70 pound cutie cuddle bug who loves attention. She likes to explore and is easy on a leash, but is more than happy to get attention from a human friend. Although her short legs may keep her low to the ground, BonBon has no trouble hopping up into your lap to get close to you!

BonBon's foster family tells us she is a total snoozy little cuddle bug full of love.

• She will gently raise a paw to rest on your knee signaling she would like your attention followed by a big ole' Staffordshire terrier smile that absolutely will brighten your day.
• Fabulous car dog, calm and stoic around hyper active dogs but holds her boundaries, seemingly unbothered.
• She's potty trained but needs to be encouraged and/or given permission to go outside. We're proud of how quickly she overcame her hesitancy from using the doggie door.
• Though she can jump into a lower car or onto a lower bed it puts too much stress on her body so will not do well in a home that has many stairs, especially if they are long and steep.
• She's an alert dog but not a guard dog.
• Great little appetite.
• Loves to go on short to moderate length walks. She'll need leash training and a gentle lead that guides from the chest. She's getting better everyday.
• She's a smart girl that is learning some basic cues already, and will be happy to grow and learn more with you using positive reinforcement methods.
