Tulsa is a diamond in the "ruff" and may be just right for you, whether you are a first time dog owner or wanting to add a companion for your current dog(s), or somewhere in between.
Tulsa came to Oakland Animal Services when her owner was no longer able to care for her. Tulsa is a confident, easy going, well socialized dog that enjoys being around people, and quickly bonded with her caregivers. Tulsa is completely house trained (never an accident) and can be left alone in the house. Tulsa's nickname is "wagon" because she is a happy dog who is always wagging (or waggin') her tail.
Tulsa is estimated to be about 7 years old which falls into the senior category. Although Tulsa is a senior dog, she has energy and enthusiasm for walks. Tusla enjoys going on walks and is ready to go when she sees a sweater or jacket being put on. She excitedly walks to the door to get her leash and is ready for a sniffari! Tulsa is friendly when she sees other dogs but if they bark at her, she'll return the bark, which is a very soft bark. Tulsa does bark at street noises from time to time.
Tulsa's foster family includes another senior dog, and a 3-year old shepherd mix. Tulsa interacts peacefully with a confident cat that is used to dogs. Tulsa spends time around children including a 2 year old, 9 year old and 14 year old and has good manners with these children.
