Meet Merida, the fabulous 8-year-old weighing 68lbs, currently shining in her foster home! Here's what we've discovered about this sweet pup in the first few weeks:

✅ House trained, she brings a calm and quiet presence to your home. 
✅ Crate trained and perfectly content when left alone in or out of her crate. 
✅ A true people lover, with the potential for harmony with gentle dogs. 
✅ Enjoys being close by and happily naps while you're hard at work. 
✅ Adores the pampering of a good brushing session. 
✅ Food motivated, and despite some creaky bones, she nails the Sit command! 
✅ Leash manners are top-notch, though a treat in hand keeps her focused when encountering others.

Additionally, Merida has demonstrated independent grace at the shelter, when she met social and polite dogs. While she appreciates socializing, she tends to be mostly independent. In her ideal forever home, Merida would likely prefer to be a solo pet or part of an independent or tolerant pack. Ready to make her a cherished member of your family?
