Meet Sky! This gentle 1-year-old, 68-pound girl is looking for a loving home where she can blossom at her own pace. Sky has lived outside her whole life, so she's still learning how to navigate the world. With a little patience and understanding, she’s been making great strides at the shelter.

Sky is ever so sweet, soft, and full of potential. Though nervous around new people, Sky is secretly affectionate – volunteers report Sky takes time to warm up but she’s a total lap dog, enjoying belly rubs, head scritches, and leaning into her human for snuggles.

Sky is also showing her playful side more and more. She’s learned to love toys and has even started pouncing and joyfully running around. With other dogs at the shelter, Sky is a gentle player. She would thrive in a home with well-matched dog buddies or as the solo dog with some canine friends.
