Meet Kai, the sweet 3-month-old puppy full of potential! This 30-pound shepsky is a bit cautious at first, but he’s starting to come out of his shell and show his playful side more and more every day. Kai is super smart and already knows how to “sit”—he’s ready to learn even more with a little guidance and patience.
While Kai is shy, he’s making great strides in his foster home. He’s fully trained on potty pads, sleeps in his crate at night, and does well being left alone for short periods. He’s also completely uninterested in the cats in his foster home, and while he’s a bit nervous around other dogs, he’s curious and would benefit from slow introductions.
Kai would do best in an active household with older children (8+), where he can continue to grow at his own pace. He hasn't been interested in toys or chew treats so far, but who knows? As he becomes more comfortable, that might change. His foster family has noticed he has the husky howl down pat, so he’ll definitely keep you entertained!
Like all puppies, Kai is a work-in-progress and would thrive with adopters who are committed to continuing his socialization and training. If you’re looking for a smart, loving pup who’s ready to build a bond with a patient family, Kai might be a great match! Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
