Meet Chili: A Sweet and Sensitive Soul ️
Chili is as sweet as they come, with a gentle and good-natured personality. We don't have a ton of information about his past but we know he spent most of his time outdoors with his previous family. We also know he appreciates a quiet and calm life. He's been stressed at the shelter (who can blame him?), but during moments of comfort, Chili checks in with his handlers. He is all about reassuring glances, appreciates tasty treats (esp, if you got string cheese), and leans in for affectionate pets. It's apparent that he may not have had much exposure to the bustling world, and loud noises can be overwhelming for him. For example, an unexpected train came roaring past one of the yards that he was in causing him to pancake and seek refuge.
He yearns for a secure yard where he can roam, relax, and bask in the sun. Keep in mind that Chili can be a bit of an escape artist, so a well-fenced area would be ideal.
Chili's enthusiasm for treats is undeniable, making him a food-motivated pup. He's a prime candidate for positive reinforcement training, and his love for food suggests he'll be a quick and eager learner.
While Chili may not have extensive experience with other dogs, he tends to feel more at ease in his own company. There's a possibility that he could coexist with another independent and mellow dog.
At 3 years old and weighing 75 lbs, Chili is ready to find a loving home where he can build confidence and enjoy a secure and peaceful environment. If you're patient, understanding, and willing to help Chili overcome his fears, you'll discover a loyal and endearing companion in him. Come meet Chili and let him add some spice to your life! ️
